Dear Ones:
A number of you have asked questions about the results of the General Assembly and if there will be opportunity to talk together about them. Last night your Session received the report from our own Bob Monroe who was an elder-commissioner for the Presbytery of New Hope. After receiving his report the Session discussed how we might engage the congregation in a conversation about some of the important decisions.
Three members of Session were asked to identify two knowledgeable people who are not part of our congregation to make presentations on each side of the ordination issue, and to schedule times when those presentations can be made. It is our hope to have this scheduled in September in a forum that will allow discussion.
